The Berylune Blog

New Stationery. The best two words ever.
We had an exciting parcel arrive this week, filled with stationery goodness. The gasps and squeals of excitement were off the scale. I think we may have upset a few passing dogs.

My favourite bits:

Pens. With ears. They're like cats and foxes and bears and things. Those things in the middle? They're mechanical pencils. With random, badly translated sayings on the side (I'm such a sucker for those)....
Friday Finds
We've been collecting bits of stationery this week, which in my less-than-humble-opinion is the best sort of collecting one can do.

A perpetual calendar, an enormous bulldog clip and a teeny hole punch.
Not to be confused with my mass-hive hole punch.

Friday Finds
I've had a number of excellent retro finds this week. Woefully, they're mostly going to be Christmas presents, so I can't very well reveal them here. So here are a couple of new things that arrived this week instead:

Washi Wednesday
Can you smell it in the air? It's that time of year again. The supermarkets dedicate entire aisles to it. I find myself being drawn to window displays full of it. Coins burn holes in my pockets until they have been spent on it. Mmmm...Stationery.

This week, we have covered natural pencils in Washi tape, so now they are pretty. All ready to be packed in to my pencil case, ready for school. Or my...
Friday Finds
Amy spotted this week's Friday Find, knowing full well I wouldn't be able to resist buying it. It's a massive, and I mean MASS-HIVE (works better if you imagine Denise saying it), hole punch. It does 4 holes. I don't think it's particularly old; I don't even need a four-hole punch, but I just love that it's so enormous! I'm using it for a door stop in our office at home.

I've photographed it next...
Stationery rocks.
So much so, it has it's very own National Week! National Stationery Week runs from 22nd - 28th April, so we're already half way through and I haven't treated myself a single new pen or pencil. Don't worry, I'll get...
What. A. View.
We have a new view from the counter! Frankly, it rocks. I find myself spacing out, trying to choose which thing I would like to take home with me.

We have some new stuff! I've been meaning to photograph it for a couple of weeks and have been failing to find time. Sorry!

We have Paddywax candles. They smell divine and come in the prettiest jars. They are made from soy wax, so you can wash the...
Zip it.
I am so pleased that the new year has brought with it renewed interest in our craft workshops. Maybe it's our workshop window display, or maybe it's all those new year's resolutions! Learning a new craft or vowing to make your own clothes are both great ways to start the year - and so much cheaper than joining the gym!

The window features examples from a number of our workshops - screen printing, ...
I've wanted these since forever. I'm so, so excited that we are stocking them!

Chunky highlighter crayons
in three delicious luminous colours
They really work!

I've spent a small fortune on highlighter pens over the years. I'm always heartbroken when I have to throw away their dried up carcasses. I've been using my highlighter pencil at my grown-up job for a couple of weeks now; I've not had to...
