Changes afoot

I totally forgot it was Friday on Friday, so Friday Finds didn't happen this week I'm sorry. Which is a shame, because we found some beautiful new retro bits, but they'll have to wait until next week now.

We've been preparing for the C-Word around here. Amy and Zoë have been busily making and planning. I've been carding up new wooden brooches - this one is my favourite:

'Hey, I'm walkin' here'

We've also been putting together orders for some VERY exciting new stuff.

Our favourite is designed and made to order in the UK, so we won't receive it for at least four weeks, possibly six. I will try my hardest to contain my excitement until then, we hope you all love it as much as we do. It's a bit scary - because there is such a long lead time, we're having to work out now what we are likely to need for the whole C-word period. Which is actually impossible, so we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed!

Amy & I have been planning to tinker with the shop layout, which we hope to get done this week, with a little help from our friends and family (again). I'll post some photos when we're all done, assuming it all goes according to plan! If anyone is handy with a drill, is free on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday evening and feels inclined to pop down to the shop, any assistance offered will be rewarded with Pizza, tea and cake!

You might also have noticed a new logo at the top of the page. We like Amy's 'Berylune' bunting made with retro sheets so much (click here for a photo Fiona kindly took for us), we decided we wanted all of our branding to look like that. And as you know, without rainbow order, there is no order. So we have new stickers for our bags, new swing tags and my personal favourite, new cards to mount our vintage buttons on:

In other news, Charlotte and Roisin both celebrated Birthdays this week! So we headed over to Amy's for Mexican, cocktails and cute baby photos that Charlotte's Mum, Wendy, sneakily posted over from Canada. I have discovered that tequila in cocktail form is actually quite palatable.
