Due to popular demand, Washi Wednesday is back! Well, ok, that's not technically true, but Zoë and I have come up with some new ideas, and we're going to inflict them upon you. On Wednesdays. Here is our first one:

I've not been inspired to take any photos this week. The weather was horrible yesterday and everything looked grey because of it. Sorry.

I have Lara to thank for this week's Washi Wednesday; I had grand plans to blow an egg and cover it in Washi, but I liked Lara's idea better. So here it is:

I labelled some of the Berylune stash today. Washi makes great labels if you have the right pen - you might have to try a couple of different ones out on your Washi before you strike gold.

We have the cutest new 3" embroidery hoops now in stock, they make great frames for small fabric pictures. Below we have (by we, I mean Zoë) framed a pretty bit of fabric, but covered the outer hoop in washi tape first.

Local friend of the shop and food blogger, Janey, aka Slice of Slim, is a huge fan of Washi tape. These days Janey regularly contributes to Weight Watchers Magazine, so I think we can safely say she has made the transition from food blogger to food writer! Janey's blog is full of genuis ideas if you're dieting, and they're pretty delicious even if you're not.

This week, Zoë has edged the pages of a small notebook with Washi Tape. This is great for sectioning your notebook according to subject. Or just to make it look pretty.


Zoë did this at home; I'm particularly impressed at how many different patterns of Washi Tape she has managed to accumulate!

This week we have a handy tip for you! Mark your seam allowance on your sewing machine with washi tape so you can see it easily.

We stole this idea from Pinterest, we think you'll agree it's a great way to store your Washi tape...

We have some amazing new solar night lights in stock! They come flat packed (for easy posting), so you build them yourself. They are made from plain kraft card, so you can decorate them yourself with felt tips, glitter, glue etc.... Or in our case, Washi tape!

For those of you who might have forgotten, it's Valentines day on Friday. Which means that Hallmark, Chaucer and retailers like us insist that you are duty bound to, at the very least, send your significant other a card.

This week, I made a pair of paper lanterns from some thin card and rolls of Washi.

  
I would recommend using led lights inside or be careful never to leave these unattended! I don't have any small glass tealight holders, but slipping these over the top of one would work a treat. I might dot these about my garden this summer, assuming it ever arrives...

I've been making paper chains!

It's been a while! But as we have always said, there seems to be no end to the uses we can find for Washi Tape.

I celebrated a Birthday recently. Those of you who also have a Birthday close to Christmas will understand that it pretty much sucks. People tend to forget, or you just don't feel like doing anything fun because you're all partied out. And don't get me started about joint Christmas and...

Why not decorate your dull food clips with Washi to make them pretty? Why indeed.

Ahhh, Washi. It would appear that there is literally no end of things to do with it. Actually, don't quote me on that, we're bound to run out eventually.

This week I have stolen Charlotte's knitting needles! Don't worry, I'll give them back. Charlotte uses washi tape to keep her double ended pins in order, which we think works a treat.
