Washi Wednesday - Party Hat
I saw this cool party hat on Pinterest the other day, which Zoë and I thought would make an appropriate Washi Wednesday! Zoë took a toilet roll tube, covered it in washi stripes, punched holes in the side for an elastic and cut points around the top. Then I made her wear it and smile for the camera!

Washi Wednesday
I have Lara to thank for this week's Washi Wednesday; I had grand plans to blow an egg and cover it in Washi, but I liked Lara's idea better. So here it is:

Washi Wednesday
Ahhh, Washi. It would appear that there is literally no end of things to do with it. Actually, don't quote me on that, we're bound to run out eventually.

In the mean time, here are some pretty drawing pins covered in Washi:

No less useful, but now they look pretty!

I failed to charge my camera battery today, so this week's Washi Wednesday is courtesy of my phone...

I started decorating this clipboard with washi stripes. Then I got bored and added a boat. Enjoy.

Leaning Tower of Washi
This week, Bob and Nora have been on a trip to see the Leaning Tower of Washi. Here they are, admiring the view:

Incidentally, we are now selling the above tower as an instant-collection-Washi-bundle for £13.95!

How do you store your Washi? I thought I'd share how I store mine. I have a dedicated Washi-Wench, who follows me round all day and satisfies my Washi needs. Her name is Zoë.

Below, my wench is modelling her Washi necklace.

It's nice to see someone enjoying their job.

I'm a bit too tired to type anything cohesive, so here are some pretty butterfly shapes Zoë cut out of some card covered with washi. Aren't they pretty?

Butterflies are attracted to buttons don't you know...

Washi Wednesday
Ha! You thought I'd forgotten, didn't you? It might be the eleventh hour, but it's still Wednesday. I've just returned home from Kayal, where we were out celebrating my Mum's Birthday. I shan't say which one it was, but it was a significant landmark. Kayal is amazing, if you haven't been, you should go. I had a scrummy fish thing that was baked in a palm leaf or something. And the breads... Oh,...
Washi Wednesday
Can you smell it in the air? It's that time of year again. The supermarkets dedicate entire aisles to it. I find myself being drawn to window displays full of it. Coins burn holes in my pockets until they have been spent on it. Mmmm...Stationery.

This week, we have covered natural pencils in Washi tape, so now they are pretty. All ready to be packed in to my pencil case, ready for school. Or my...
Washi Wednesday. It's all about the sticks.
It's Wednesday! The weeks are flying by aren't they? We're hurtling towards the C-Word at an epic pace.

This week's Washi Wednesday was proposed by Zoë, who saw it here (with a handy tutorial), and executed by me at Knit & Natter last night. I'll be honest, there is always natter, but the knitting doesn't necessarily materialise.

Washi pick-up-sticks.

We headed up the street to check out our friend...

Washi bunting! Hurrah. And Chocolate Beetroot cake made by my Mum. Might sound weird, but tastes delicious.

Apparently, Badminton racquets flake black stuff all over your hands. Or at least the inexpensive ones do. The racquet pictured below has been given a face lift by covering the flaking handle in Washi. Problem solved.

For the love of Washi, is it Wednesday already?
We have a new thing! We have boxes for storing your Washi in. Look how pretty they are, all lined up and ready to use. They also stack, and you can label them. One for every colour? Season? Project? Joy.

Washi Wednesday
This week I watched jumbo lolly sticks (or tongue depressors) soak in water for three days, so I could bend them around a shampoo bottle (slowly), tie them in place with some wool and spend a day watching them dry. I lost momentum at this point, so Amy wrapped this one in rainbow stripes of Washi tape and Zoë modeled the result. Team effort.

Washi Wednesday
This week's Washi Wednesday follows on from last week quite nicely. If you are a bit clumsy with a craft knife, why not let your wounds heal in style?

 Washi covered plasters!

Our new delivery of washi finally arrived last week. Our parcel was supposed to be here a couple of months ago, but our supplier unfortunately didn't note my new delivery address and posted it to the old one. Which is such a...
Washi Wednesday!
Ok. So here's the thing I was working on last week and failed to complete! I got some magnetic strip, covered it in Washi and trimmed the edges in to either torn-looking edges or sharp flag-style edges. They work a treat on my boring notice board!

 Baby, I'm your man.

Washi Wednesday
I spent this afternoon making something cool for Washi Wednesday, really I did. It involved a craft knife and a cutting mat. I mounted something on a wall, cleaned something, found some pretty things (and pretty boys) to go with it. I grabbed my camera, got it in focus and pressed the button. Only to find my memory card is still at the shop. I'm sorry Washi lovers, I just couldn't be bothered to...
Washi Wednesday
You thought I'd forgotten, didn't you?

Amy has covered one of our light switches in washi! Oh, the joy. We've been joined in our washi-worship today by Kiara over at Bakery Cakery. It's catching.

We also got a mention over on the Crafty Magazine blog today - click here to read what they've said about the Etsy Craft Party we organised with Zoë at Sew Make Believe and Lara from Sewsmith. Thanks...
Washi Wednesday
This week's Washi Wednesday is from Zoë. We have already had washi-covered pegs, but this time we've gone miniature! The pegs Zoë used have a teeny magnetic strip on the back, so can attach mini notes or labels to appropriate metal surfaces, like say fridges or cake tins. Mmmm....cake....

Well I don't know what she's on about, all these pegs look massive to me Beryl.

Washi Wednesday
Greetings Washi lovers! I've borrowed a picture from a fabulous Belgian blogger this week (well, I assume it's fabulous, I can't understand a word of it, but the pictures are amazing!):

Click here for more pretty pictures of Lou's Car Track

How cool does that look? 6 million mega-fonzies, maybe even 7.
