Knitting for Knockers

Yes. You heard me. We have decided to give a little back this month. We aim to teach no less than 50, FIFTY, people to knit. With pink wool.

Our lovely local wool shops Warwick Wools and the Wool Warehouse have agreed to donate some pink wool to the cause. Our teachers, Tracy and Denise, are generously donating their time. We're donating the room, needles, scissors and copious tea bags.

All funds raised will be donated to Breast Cancer Care. We ask that new knitters donate no less than £2 in exchange for their knitting lesson. Those who can already knit are more than welcome to drop in for a cup of tea and a natter!

There is a catch - we get to keep the completed knitting! We have a plan for it at the end of the month. It's top secret. Only I keep telling people, so if you see me in the shop, please don't ask me about it!

Two lovely local bloggers have mentioned us this week! The first is local dress addict and friend of the shop, Sarah, aka A Million Dresses.
Sarah and her fashion blogging friends had a weekend of fun planned in Leamington and we offered them use of our massive tea pot and craft studio! Sarah kindly saved us some first rate cake, which didn't last as long as it should... All of Sarah's friends were really lovely, they certainly livened the place up!

Our other local blogger, the lovely Zoe, who we have a frightening amount in common with, posts on both Sew Make Believe and Zoe's Crafts blogs.
If you click here, you can win a Berylune goodie bag! Loads of lovely stuff inside to share with your friends or just keep for yourself. It all comes in a very limited edition lino printed Berylune bag. There is only one in existence at the moment!

Zoe has a standing invitation to come round for Tunnocks Teacakes & Tea on Wednesday afternoons.

More new stuff in the shop this week, but that will come in another post later. If the ink ever dries.
