Rainbow Crochet Scarf - Free Pattern!

Zoë crocheted Amy a very pretty scarf for Christmas. As she couldn't find a suitable pattern, she wrote her own! Zoë has offered to share it with us, in case any of you fancy making one for yourself. Can't crochet? Don't worry, we've got that covered too...

This pattern uses UK crochet terms.

Use a 4.5mm hook and double knitting yarn in red, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple and pink. I used Drops Karisma.

Using first colour, ch 302

Row 1: dc into 2nd ch from hook, dc in each ch across, turn (301 sts)

Row 2: ch 3, 2 tr in first dc, sk next 2 sts, * 3 tr into next st (forms 3tr cluster), sk next 2 sts, ** repeat from * to ** to last st, tr in last st, turn (100 3tr clusters)

Row 3: (pattern row) ch 3, 2 tr into space between 1 tr and first 3tr cluster, 3 tr into each space between clusters until end, 1 tr into top of 3 ch, turn

Change to second colour

Row 4-6: as Row 3

Continue working three rows at a time in each colour until you reach the last colour

Work as Row 3 for 2 rows

Final row: ch 1, dc in top of first tr and each st across to last tr, dc in top of 3 ch, fasten off.
