Heist is a tiny independent chocolate maker based in Cardiff, Wales which specialises in micro-batches of stone ground chocolate using single origin, organic, cocoa beans. Each batch of beans is turned into lovely chocolate bars in a small factory in the centre of the city. Every bar of chocolate you buy from Heist has been sorted, roasted, cracked, winnowed, ground, tempered, wrapped, stamped and stitched by Heists one-man team, Mikey - who’s chocolate making experiments started in 2016*, playing with ingredients in the shed of his house share. Having always had an interest in graphic design, he spent many nights mocking up packaging for the bars he had made - all for fun and with no intention of ever starting a chocolate company. Months passed, equipment grew and his new found hobby slowly became a passion. Fast forward a couple of years and here he is….
We originally stocked Heist back in 2017 and we have been anxious to get Mikey's chocolate back in now we have more space!

Milk Bar
Rich, smooth, milk chocolate with a slow, buttery melt. It’s milk chocolate but extra cocoa beany.

Dark Bar 70%
The flagship. If you want to taste the bright and zesty Madagascan beans and nothing else... This is the one.
Nibble on some slowly with a fine milk stout or porter.
If you’re looking for something a bit more intense, take a look at our “Extra Dark” bar.

Extra Dark Bar 80%
The path is intense for sure but take it slowly and earthy notes with whisky, cream and vanilla will tag along for the journey.
These are all things I definitely taste when I eat this bar. Don’t blame me if your palette isn’t as sophisticated as mine!

Dark Orange Bar 70%
The orange oil in our marmalade bar adds a sweetness to our 70% chocolate that may soothe the souls of those daunted by our straight 70% bar.

Goat's Milk Bar 59%
Do you like milk chocolate but are totally anti-cow?
That’s okay friend. We all have our own peccadillos to deal with, but luckily for you; goat’s milk chocolate is here!
Now you don’t have to deal with your deep cow resentment.
It goes without saying that this chocolate is goat smooth, out of this world goat creamy and very goat cocoa beany.
You’ll also get a slight tang that only the finest goatmates can provide. Think chocolate cheesecake and then let’s give a big hooray for goatmates!

Vietnamese Coffee Bar 51%
One half - creamy white chocolate, the other half - dark Girls Who Grind Coffee chocolate.
Take one piece of each and put it in your snaffle hatch. Chomp them to combine and you’ve got yourself a milky sweet, coffee treat!
Now I realise that this means you’ll eat the bar twice as fast but mate, it also means you’ll enjoy it twice as much….Fantastic!
Please don’t be cynical. This isn’t a terrific marketing ploy to get you to buy more Heist chocolate but please… buy more Heist chocolate. Nice one.

Cereal Milk Bar 35%
The best bit of every brekles is the sweet, milky goodness that is left over after a hunking bowl of 5 times the recommended serving size of delicious cereal (No one eats 30g of cereal, MATE).
Soooo, what we’ve done is distill and solidify that slurpy goodness into this chocolate bar.
White chocolate BUT, ground together with toasted cornos so you get that sweet, malty, milky taste that’s been a staple of every kids Saturday since ages ago.

Milk & Biscuits Bar 45%
It honest to god tastes like your favourite malted milk beverage. Malted milk beverage isn’t an interesting name though, so we went with Milk & Biscuits, which it sort of tastes like.
Rose Milk 59%
Heist 59% milk chocolate blended with fragrant rose oil.... but not too fragant.
