Learning to Crochet

I crocheted a granny square! No. I'm not photographing it. It's a dreadful granny square, really. It's very sloppy and I don't like the colours I picked. I think I'll attend one of our introduction to crochet classes for further direction. I tend not to take Amy seriously when she's teaching me something, since she made up 'purl' when teaching me to knit.

I have high hopes that I will be able to crochet something spectacular in the coming months.

Like maybe this:

I've challenged our crochet teacher, Denise, to teach me how to crochet a Pug in one of the amigurumi classes we'll be holding in our studio! Perhaps I'll get her to start with something a little less challenging.

We are planning another Knit & Natter / Stitch 'n Bitch session next Tuesday. More details to follow tomorrow...
