Orla, Orla, Orla
We have shied away from buying widely recognised brands in our shop. We're small and independent and we want to be as unique as we can. However, no-one (that we're aware of) in Leamington stocks one of our very favourite designer's interiors range. Parkinsons have Orla Kiely handbags (with some lovely designs on sale in the window I noticed the other day!), but no beautiful tins or ceramics to be found anywhere.
Orla's retro styled prints are distinctive and yet distinctly different to one another. Somehow, all of the patterns compliment each other beautifully, in a way that seems completely effortless. So you can add to your collection without being too 'matchy'. Marvelous.
Which is why we were very excited to see this chap:
And we immediately started unpacking boxes:
Alas, I didn't manage to take any photos of the final display, as by the time we had finished the light was poor and we were both a bit tired. But here is a taster of what you can expect:
So far, we only have the ceramic kitchenware and tins (with more due in at the beginning of next week), but we will certainly look at increasing the range to include lambswool blankets, cushions and bedding if you all like it! We can also take orders for furniture to be delivered directly to you, as we don't have enough space in the shop for that...
