Crafting & Socialising

So we've been having a think about our workshops. You all seemed to really enjoy the craft party, which had more of a 'Come and play with us!' feel, rather than a 'Come and learn from us!' feel to it. We have been toying with applying that idea to our craft workshops.

We'll still be getting super talented 3rd parties in to teach for us - Tracy with her expert sewing knowledge and crowd control skills for big groups, Lara with her screen printing, embroidery, sewing & needle felting workshops, Denise with her crochet and knitting workshops, Charlotte with advanced knitting workshops,  Fiona with her DSLR photography workshop and the amazingly popular Roisin with her Dolly Clackett dressmaking workshop - however, they might be spaced a little further apart, so drop us an email if there is one you are interested in and we'll try to accommodate you.

We'll also still be running our children's parties, hen's dos and baby showers - I'll update the 'Parties' page soon with further information. They're so much fun :)

However, in addition to the above, we'll be adding some new workshops. They'll have a much lower price point, will be less of a teaching environment and more of a 'Come and play with us!' environment, like at the craft party, only with a lot less people and more time to relax. You'll get to use our equipment and tea, cake and materials will be included in the price. There may be additional materials available for you to purchase at the workshop (we're having to be very careful to keep the price down), but they'll be more like an optional extra, if you're doing well and want to push yourself a bit further.

The idea is that we're all skill sharing - you might want to come along to a particular workshop more than once, and the second time around you can offer extra help to the person you're sat by. We also think they'll be a great taster for a new hobby you're not sure if you want to invest in yet. We won't necessarily claim to be experts - we might be playing as much as you are! But most importantly, you get to come and spend time with like minded people for a few hours - socialising whilst you craft, drink tea and eat yummy home baked cake. There is always cake.

Our first Social Crafting workshop is this Thursday evening at 6.30pm - we'll be carving rubber stamps. We have a few spaces left, so if you fancy coming along click here to book. Watch this space for more of the same!
